Environmental Education in Action

Delta Environmental Centre is an environmental education, training and consultation network.

It is an independent non-profit organisation that aims, through innovative education and training programmes, to enable people to improve their environment by promoting the management and sustainable use of all resources, in line with the South African Constitution.

We aim to encourage participation in environmental action projects by sharing appropriate knowledge and developing responsible values and attitudes.

We offer accredited and non-accredited skills courses for educators and environmental practitioners, as well as running experiential, curriculum-based programmes for learners from Grades 1 to 12.

Our venues are available for hire. The Auditorium seats 180 and the Function Room is an excellent venue for launches, lunches, and workshops.

DELTA ENVIRONMENTAL CENTRE'S EMPOWERDEX B-B BEE RATING IS NEWSWORTHY

Express Verification Services (a member of the EMPOWERDEX Group) has certified DEC as an 'Exempt Micro Enterprise' (EME) as DEC's annual turnover is less than R5 million p.a.
DEC has been rated as a Level 4 Contributor. EMPOWERDEX has given DEC a 95% Black Beneficiary Base rating as well as 100% B-B BEE SED Recognition.
A company or enterprise that wishes to gain valuable B-B BEE points on their SED Scoreboard can do so by making donation to DEC. An individual tax payer can also gain a tax benefit from making a donation to DEC.
An appropriate receipt will be issued on receipt of the funds.
